The Challenge of Outreach

GO:

Out from the warmth and joy of fellowship in your church.

Out because Christ commanded us to go.

Out because we as Christians are HIS ambassadors.

Out in obedience because we love Christ.

Out to those who do not know Christ as Savior.

Into the highways and hedges:

Where a baby is born every two seconds.

Where parental and juvenile delinquency are rampant.

Where crime and violence are commonplace.

Where life’s highways lead to school, office, shop or store.

Where people are groping for meaning in life.

That:

The seeker might find truth.

The sorrowing may find comfort.

The weary may find rest.

The troubled may find peace.

The sinner may find eternal life.
